Dr. Claudia Lee received her Honours Bachelor of Science as well as her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo. She graduated on the Dean’s Honour’s List, and received the FYidoctors Clinical Leadership Award, the Dr. Stanley Pearle Scholarship, and the Walman Optical Scholarship, all of which are awarded in recognition of leadership, academic achievement, and commitment to community service. As part of her clinical education, Dr. Lee received extensive training at the Eye Foundation of Utah in the treatment and management of eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and dry eye disease. Her training took her to several private practices where she was trained in family and pediatric eye care, glasses and contacts, emergency services, and management of eye disease. She is happy to co-manage ocular disease and provide pre and post-op cataract and laser surgery care. Dr. Lee also has a special interest in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation. She has years of experience in treating visual efficiency and processing deficiencies, strabismus (eye turn) and amblyopia (“lazy eye”). She is Board Certified in vision therapy and rehabilitation (FCOVD), which requires extensive training after graduation to demonstrate advanced competency. Dr. Lee is committed to active community service. She is a proud member of Vision Therapy Canada (VTC), the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO), the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD), and serves as a Director for the Ontario Association of Optometrists.
